The pool committee consists of three members. They will attend monthly board meetings and the annual meeting. They will meet separate from the board meetings to discuss any pool concerns and make an annual budget. The committee will divide up responsibilities for the pool duties.
Chairperson
A chairperson is selected from among the pool committee members. The chairperson is responsible for presenting a pool committee report at board meetings, providing pool report for newsletter, and delegating various duties to the committee members. The chairperson is responsible for formulating and presenting the budget for the pool committee and ensuring that the committee stays within budget. The chairperson will schedule pool committee meetings. This person will attend the annual meeting or delegate another pool committee member to give an annual report and answer any questions pertaining to the pool.
Pool Maintenance
Maintain a long-term budget for pool maintenance.
When pool is operating, walk the pool weekly to assess the condition of the pool and grounds. Keep the chairperson informed so they can give an accurate report at the monthly board meeting. Bring any or all projects, repair needs, or concerns to the chairperson. The committee will assess items that need repair and try to stay within budget. If a repair is too large to stay in budget, it will be presented at the monthly board meeting.

The pool deck is pressure washed once a year during the summer by the Park Lawn Service. An attempt to coordinate this with the Lawn Service should be made so there is no conflict swim lessons.
The pump house is maintained by Aqua Care. We coordinate with Aqua Care to come in to train our lifeguards on pool water monitoring, pool temperature, backwashing, and vacuuming the pool. A daily record is kept during the summer of the chemical balance.
Tacoma – Pierce County Health Department comes during the summer to assess the pool condition, water quality, pump house, first aid available, and overall appearance of the facility. They come unannounced.
